CCOG Watch - Drumlemble Primary Design Chosen by Pupils.

Primary 1-7 chose their design for the enclosed bird feeder. Our latest visit to Drumlemble Primary School took place this afternoon (Thursday February 10th 2011) to find out about the designs the pupils had been working on. All the children had been working on their own ideas and to choose a winner, they all cast a vote on their favourite design. And the winner is...........Daniel Anderson.......Well done to you Daniel for your excellent design. Skilled volunteers will be working to achieve the end result, along with Daniel and the other Pupils. We would like to thank all the children for their designs and the time and effort put into the project so far. A big thank you also to the teachers, without whom, this would not be possible. We look forward to welcoming Drumlemble pupils in the garden on the 3rd March 2011. image image Designs by Daniel Anderson, Drumlemble Primary School.

Black and Veatch Cheque Presentation

Black and Veatch cheque Presentation 16th December 2010. Black and Veatch presented the Garden with a cheque for £1115. As a considerate contractor Black & Veatch approached the ‘Organic garden’ to discuss the opportunity of contributing support to the development of their Campbeltown community initiative project. The Campbeltown Organic Garden aims to create and maintain a community garden which supports and nurtures all aspects of nature through the principles of organic gardening, and in doing so, provide an opportunity for all members of the community to enjoy the social, therapeutic and educational aspects of the garden. Through the involvement with Black & Veatch the Organic garden will be able to develop two new soft fruit tree areas within the new market garden area, and will provide significant stimulus to further growth. It will also allow Black & Veatch to further reduce their carbon footprint and leave a sustainable and lasting legacy to the Campbeltown community. image
